An interesting tidbit of information for you Mack. You know Arnie Olivarez, one of the arrests made in the PSJA School Board scandal is a familiar name.
Remember back in the day when The Paper ran that article about Mrs. Leo supposed insurance scandal at LJISD. The big "scandal" was in reference to her changing the insurance recommendation to Bob Trevino from another insurance provider. Now, what was not said, and what I've mentioned before, was the fact that the Bob Trevino bid was indeed the lowest one. Someone inflated the Bob Trevino numbers to give the appearance that his competitor was the lowest bid. Now, remember many months back when The Monitor (can't find the article since they updated their page) reported that there was once again insurance problems at La Joya ISD under this new board that involved some "misinterpreted" numbers. Interesting, because this happened under a different superintendent which leads me to believe the original culprit was still there and furthermore absolved Mrs. Leo of her supposed "scandal" (a "scandal" which we all know the board decided not to investigate since they could not find anything wrong in the first place. Looks like they were looking in the wrong spot).
It gets better. The agent that was bidding against Bob Trevino that Mrs. Leo did NOT recommend was none other than Arnie Olivarez who as I just mentioned was arrested in the PSJA insurance scandal. Looks like I was right all along. Some people are to quick to judge with out really delving deep into the facts.
